O’Minsky Travels
O’Minsky Travels
Maureen and I (The, yes THE, O’Minskys) set up our first personal website this past year (2008) to record our past, present and future travels, as well as run a basic family blog (photos, stupid posts from me, etc.).
I am trying to, in my “free” time, get a micro-site established and populated with pictures and notes for each of our big trips. As these micro-sites are rolled out, they will be added to the Our Trips page.
It’s been a fun winter (2008-2009) here in Ouray. The wintry weather started out with a bang (75 or 79 inches of snow in December, which set a record) but then faltered from January on with almost no snow for 10 weeks. Just when we thought we would get through mud season early without all the January, February and March snows (typically mud season starts in April and goes into early May), we got hit with 18-24 inches in late March. Yeah! More mud...again.
We’re looking forward to Summer ’09. Planning a road trip to Yellowstone , where we’ll meet up with my sister’s family and head to Idaho from there to see Anne and Pierre at their lake ‘house’ (it’s a trailer :).
Outside of that, it’s nice and quiet here...and we’re enjoying it before all the tourists invade Ouray this summer.
For any and all technical geek reads (and I know there’s lots of you out there), I have a technical blog going at craigkaminsky.blogspot.com
